Long Night of Museums 2024

The Ernst-Haeckel-Haus invites you to the Long Night of Museums.

Between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m., staff and students will be giving an insight into their work.
There are various stations to discover in the house:

• “Ernst Haeckel (1834-1919): Letter edition”
  The team “Ernst Haeckel (1834-1919): Briefedition” provides an insight into their daily work based on the edited volumes and manuscript samples.

• Research workshop
  Some students of History of Science present their project work. As part of the research workshop, they worked with objects from the estate of Ernst Haeckel, traced the stories and linked social, political and cultural-historical topics with each other.
  Insight into the research workshop: Research Workshop "Radiolaria"
• Film Proteus
  Excerpts from the animated documentary film Proteus by David Lebrun provide an insight into the diversity of forms of radiolarians.
• Exhibition requests
  Once the renovation of the building has been completed in line with its listed status, the staff will draw up a concept for a new exhibition in the historic rooms on the first floor. We will be happy to take your wishes into account and ask you what you would like to see in the exhibition.
